Creation is what your soul births when you stop inhibiting it.
My paintings are energy, awareness and information conveyed into form.
I work intuitively, moment by moment, in response to what I am guided. I offer myself to the process until it feels complete and what emerges is a miracle to me.
Art is a way of seeing the world differently. An invitation to look beyond the borders that we put in place and come together changed.

About how I paint
All the paintings are channelled. They are energy, awareness, information, conveyed in to images. Some just come to me, some are evoked by a meeting, a moment, an experience, a person. Some I have no idea where they come from.
I never have any idea of how they will look, I work intuitively moment by moment, in response to what I am guided or shown and often don’t know beyond the step I am currently taking. Sometimes at certain points in the process I don’t like them and wish I had stopped sooner, but I am encouraged to carry on with the painting until I have a sense that it feels done.
That is what I am guided to do, to trust the process and the outcome and just to offer my presence and myself to it and see what emerges.
They have been created over the last 5 years. I bought myself some paints and canvasses with my birthday money in September 2020 and the rest, as they say, is history.
Before that I did not anticipate that I could do this. Painting was something I wanted to learn and had wanted to for many years, but I did not realise that this kind of art was inside of me waiting all along.
What inspires me?
In life:
Living, experiencing, sensing, discovering, seeing, relating, being present and in reverence with what is within and around us and able to come to and through us.
In my art:
To convey what I sense, see and feel as energy and sensation in to something that takes form. Each painting births itself through my exploring movement or receiving information in relation or response to people, life, energy, moments, movement, sights, sounds, sensation, experiences and to translate or convey that which comes to me without order and form in to something that takes it
My Background:
As a mathematician I enjoy patterns and forms
And as a person whose first language is energy, sensation, who enjoys movement, natural flow and listening, I enjoy to receive the information and invitation that listening and being with offers, and to translate this. I also enjoy creation and find pleasure in the receptiveness to something formless and the ability to translate it through to form and feel a constant sense of wonder at discovering and seeing the form that things take.
My Reflections and Observations
It would seem as though each picture is a portal. A portal in to a different world. And as in life, the longer we sit, the more we see and the deeper and deeper we can go.
The invitation is made by the painting.
To me as the painter …. and to those who may view or sit with the pieces.
I also feel these pieces are touchstones, anchors, friends, who may guide us on our path.
I find the art calming, healing, restful, joyous and alive and I enjoy the flow state and world they take me in to as they emerge.
