I was totally blown away by the nomination for “Best Debut Exhibition” for The Scarborough Fair Summer Season Awards 2025.

 

I didn’t even know that there would be any acknowledgement or recognition for what I and others had done, let alone an award ceremony.

 

It was glorious and a privilege to receive this award in recognition for the work that I had put in, for the idea that had emerged out of me, and for the exhibition “Emergence” that I had created.

 

 

I feel deeply grateful for The Scarborough Fair and Scarborough Art for providing this opportunity and for the support i received to make it possible.  Particularly practical support from Catherine Goble of The Scarborough Fair and curation support from Joel Hague and of course to St Peter’s and Father Gubbins for use of the wonderful space. 

I also feel deeply grateful to all the people who came to my exhibition and who participated. Those who supported me and my creation, with their presence, love and affirmation of me and what I had done and for all the amazing comments and feedback I received.

Also for the confidence in my self, my abilities and capability, that grew and emerged along the way.
